Abhigna Mooraka is a writer and educator from Bengaluru, currently living in New York City.
Abhigna holds an MFA in Fiction from Columbia University’s School of the Arts, where she was also a Graduate Teaching Fellow. Her writing has appeared in AAWW’s The Margins, Electric Literature, Catapult, The Rumpus, and The Adroit Journal, among others. She is an alum of the Tin House Winter Workshop and was a 2023 Emerging Writer Fellow with Kweli Journal. Her work has been nominated or shortlisted for the Henfield Prize, the Periplus Fellowship, and the Pushcart Prize.
